Overview

SEMINYAK BY WARUNG EROPA offers an authentic Indonesian dining experience nestled in the vibrant heart of Bandar Sunway, Petaling Jaya. Situated conveniently at Jalan PJS 11/28b, this Indonesian restaurant brings a slice of Bali’s rich culinary heritage to Malaysia, making it a favored spot for both locals and visitors craving genuine flavors.

What stands out immediately is their signature dishes, particularly the Nasi Jinggo variety, available with tender Ayam Bakar (grilled chicken) or Bebek Kremes (crispy duck). These meals capture the soul of Indonesian cuisine—each bite balanced with fragrant rice, flavorful sambal, crunchy peanuts, and a comforting bowl of soup on the side. The textures and spices combine seamlessly, delivering a satisfying and soul-warming plate that keeps diners coming back.

The restaurant also shines with its Batagor Bandung and Sate Lilit Ayam. The Batagor, with its perfect peanut sauce drizzle, has won over many first-timers, while the satay offers aromatic hints of lemongrass that amplify the overall taste experience—though some diners suggest serving it on lemongrass sticks could enhance the aroma even further.

Beyond the dishes, SEMINYAK BY WARUNG EROPA creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The two-story space near Sunway Pyramid’s Terrace features warm lighting and friendly staff, which complement the rich flavors on the plate. Live singing during evenings further elevates the experience, making each visit feel both relaxing and lively. This ambiance caters well to food enthusiasts, families, and anyone eager to immerse themselves in Indonesian culture without leaving Malaysia.

Patrons appreciate the portion sizes, which are generous and fulfilling. The menu is quite extensive, offering a well-rounded insight into traditional and Balinese-inspired Indonesian cuisine, including rare finds like jukut goreng (fried vegetables), a dish that resonates deeply with those familiar with Bali’s comfort food.

SEMINYAK BY WARUNG EROPA is a culinary haven for those seeking authenticity—whether rediscovering tastes from home or exploring Indonesian flavors for the first time. Its location in a bustling urban area combined with a laid-back vibe makes it perfect for celebratory meals, casual hangouts, or a flavorful escape into Indonesia’s rich food heritage.

New Balinese cuisine opened by an Balinese apparently in Sunway Pyramid. Restaurant is at Sunway pyramid Terrace on the right of the Sphynx, facing the main road with 2 floors. Ambience is cozy and service was warm. Menu was quite extensive w nasi jinggyo being their signature. We tried nasi jingguo w ayam bakar, batangor and bebek spring roll. Rice dish was tasty w delicious sambal ijo, chicken was succulent enough. Batangor was OK, but spring roll could be better in terms of flavours. Price is on the higher end. Not crowded.

Celebrating my birthday here and it’s my first time too! Here’s my honest review: 1. Nasi Jinggo (Ayam Bakar & Bebek Kremes) Both dishes taste amazing, the meat is soft, tender, and flavorful. They come with peanuts (or maybe tempeh, if I’m not mistaken), fried egg strips, and a bowl of soup. And of course, no Indonesian dish is complete without sambal and chili, just perfect! 2. Sate Lilit Ayam The taste is quite good! Personally, I think it would be even better if it was served using lemongrass sticks, that would really elevate the aroma. Just a small suggestion for the future! But overall, it still tastes fine 3. Batagor Bandung No words needed. My favorite side dish! The peanut sauce complements it perfectly. 4. Drinks I kinda forgot what my drink was called, but both drinks tasted great! Overall The environment, service, and atmosphere were all perfect. We were lucky that there was live singing at night, it made the whole experience so cozy and enjoyable.

If you’re craving authentic Indonesian food in Kuala Lumpur, this place is a hidden gem! The flavors instantly reminded me of Bali — rich, balanced, and comforting. What makes it even more special is their jukut goreng (fried vegetables), which is something you rarely find in Malaysia. It truly captures the soul of Indonesian cuisine, from the taste to the warm, homely vibe. Definitely worth a visit if you miss the flavors of home or just want to experience real Indonesian comfort food. ????????

Lovely Indonesian food! Tried the Chireng, it was nice, chewy and crispy. Also loved the Sate Lilit Ayam as well, it was very juicy. They pride themselves as an authentic Indonesian restaurant and I can definitely see why. Great dining spot for Indonesians and Malaysians alike. *They have 10% student discount too.

Love their ambience of the place. Has the Indonesian culture touch to their designs. I came here with my colleagues here for a lunch. The food was good but the service is little slow so probably they need to improve on that. It is slightly pricey but worth a try!

Thusday 1pm no wait - good cool environment. 1)lidah sapi Seminyak, tongue is tender, slice thin just nice. Not strange smell just simple and good food. Serve with it's sambal sauce not spicy . 2) mix Platter - let's talk about the batter it's excellent skill from chef. It's not too thick, crispy and warm/hot not oily. Tofu doesn't have any soya flavor it's filled with vege leaning to savory flavor even the tofu - again simple and nice food. Tempe goreng alas the tempeh is too thin. Can't get enough of tempeh flavour hitting my palate. Skewer is not dry carry a slight sweet taste simple and nice. Cireng is chewy inside not much flavour (sorry cireng isn't to my liking). Fry spring roll is simple vegetable that won't go wrong. Overall mix Platter flavour profile isn't strong perhaps not to steal the thunder of it's sauce which is interesting touch of difference sambal. I would recommend anyone to try this for first timer . It's not bad. 3) terong sambal - I was surprised how perfect it was excuted. Egg plant in bite size cube, fried just cooked yet retainer the structure with a crispy skin. Petal bit in the sambal toss on top, not too spicy. I don't mind come back for this.
